GMT/MATLAB Toolbox

The new GMT/MATLAB Toolbox by Paul Wessel and Joaquim F. Luis is a great interface between both very popular tools.

The GMT/MATLAB toolbox described in a G3 paper by P. Weseel and J.F. Luis is a basic interface between MATLAB (or Octave) and GMT, the Generic Mapping Tools, which allows MATLAB users full access to all GMT modules. The intertwined use of both tools allows users to dramatically improve the capability of MATLAB to display spatial data. The toolbox is freely available for download at the University of Hawaii’s GMT website.
